The
Orissa Forest Development Corporation Limited is the precursor of
the Orissa Forest Corporation Ltd was the first forest corporation
of the country to remove middle men involvement in timber working.
Since then it has taken up a number of forestry activities aimed to
remove middle men and contractors and adopt sound scientific
forestry practices in the collection, exploitation and marketing of
forest products.
It is responsible for the marketing of Kenduleaf produced in the
state. It is also the sole agent of the Government in the disposal
of several nationalised produce.
