58th Vana Mahotsav - 2007
The State level 58th Vana Mahotsav - 2007 was celebrated with enthusiasm in the premises of Unit I high school, Bhubaneswar on 06-07-2007. Hon'ble Chief Minister of Orissa, Shri Naveen Patnaik, inaugurated the function. Principal Secretary to Govt., Forest & Environment Deptt., Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Chief Wild Life Warden - cum- Addl PCCF( WL), Addl PCCF(KL), Senior Forest Officers, Retired Forest Officers, Staff and School Children were present on the occasion. Hon'ble Chief Minister of Orissa started the plantation programme by planting a sapling of 'Nageswar', competition held amongst school children. prizes for Debate, and Essay & drawing by the chief guest also took plant
 World Environment Day - 2007
World Environment Day-2007 was celebrated on 5th June 2007 at Jaydev B h a w a n , Bhubaneswar.  Principal Secretary to Government of Orissa Forest & Environment Department graced this function organised by Centre of Environmental Studies with many dignitaries from Forest & Environment Department, Pollution Control Board, Students and Public. Exhibition of award winning paintings was organised in the function and chief guest distributed prizes.
